"A new platform for users to increase their productivity through daily-life challenges"

About the Project
Formi is a dynamic productivity accelerator and performance monitor, empowering users to craft custom challenges and join forces with like-minded individuals. With these invigorating tasks, they can not only turbocharge their productivity, but also network and be rewarded for their outstanding efforts with unique tokens. An exceptional idea, bound to inspire and keep users on track towards their aspirations.
The Problem
It's not uncommon for individuals to struggle with maintaining focus and motivation when it comes to their daily routines and tasks.
Goal
To provide the necessary tools and resources to overcome these challenges and reignite that drive towards success. This can be achieved by developing a platform for the users to say goodbye to demotivating cycles and hello to a more productive and motivated life.

Methods Used: User Interviews
The primary user group is primarily motivated by friendly competition and personal motivation when taking challenges. They participate in challenges with friends and family and often receive a monthly challenge, although some users find it less motivating when they don't receive a challenge. 40% of users don't track their challenges seriously and 50% prefer to take challenges for themselves. Currently, users track their progress through manual means such as a notebook or a board, and they lack rewards for completing tasks. These findings indicate an opportunity to enhance the user experience by providing more frequent challenges and implementing a rewards system to increase motivation and engagement.

Ideation
Methods Used: Brainstorming & Crazy Eight
I was brought on to revamp the design of Formi's app. My first step was to immerse myself in the team's perspectives and goals through open communication and collaboration. To further enhance my understanding of the app's target audience and potential pain points, I organized a series of brainstorming sessions with the team. During these sessions, I observed that there was a clear absence of onboarding screens, which play an important role in guiding users through the app and familiarizing them with its features. I saw this as a valuable opportunity to contribute to the design process and used my insights from the team and user research to create comprehensive onboarding screens, while also taking into account the design of other screens that would improve the overall user experience.

Prototyping
High Fidelity Wireframes/Mockups
As a next step in the UX design process, building high-fidelity mockups can help bring the proposed design to life and provide a more detailed representation of the final product. These mockups should accurately reflect the visual design and interaction flow, allowing for a more thorough evaluation and testing of the design. I've created High fidelity mockups and made a prototype for the users to do the usability testing.

Testing
Methods Used: Usability Testing
Study type : Unmoderated Study
Location : The UX research study will be conducted on August 30 2022 after working hours, remotely.
Participants 2 males, 5 females from age 16 to 68 years, 1 male with hearing impairment and 1 female with physical disability and the study is accessible with screen readers
Length: Research study will last for 90 minutes with a questionnaire.
Findings / Insights
1. Because of Onboarding the users started to understand the and with usability testing, i made few tweaks in the final prototype.
2. Based on the users suggestions, an insight is that they needed a simple way to create and join challenges without any stress.
3. Based on the users suggestions, the application got it own gamification experience where users can earn tokens when they complete a task in their challenges. Also with these token they can earn real time rewards.
Final Mockups

In conclusion, the design process for Formi's app involved a thorough and iterative approach to ensure that the final product meets the needs of both the team and the target audience. This process started with empathy and collaboration, followed by ideation and user research, and culminated in the creation of high-fidelity mockups.
Through each step, I was able to evaluate and refine the design based on feedback, testing, and user insights.
The end result of this process should be a well-designed app that is intuitive, user-friendly, and provides a positive experience for the users. This can be achieved through a thorough understanding of the users' needs and the use of best practices in UX design, such as creating a clear onboarding process and incorporating interactive elements. By putting the users first and continuously iterating on the design, I can ensure that the final product meets the needs of the target audience and provides a valuable solution.
